Spring Break

The girls on the train -- headed to Chicago!

The girls and I on arrival

Having fun looking at all the beautiful dolls.

Lunch presentation was great (There were five pretzel rolls-- we were very hungry!!!)

Three friends! (And a bit of chocolate mousse on one face!)

After lunch -- the big girls are on a potty break. Mikaela and her doll continue lunch!

Ready for lunch. My good friend, Laura, and I took her granddaughter and doll, my granddaughters and dolls to lunch! What fun!

We had a great time. Even though...get this...it was snowing in Chicago!!! Yep. I said snow -- you know, that cold white stuff that melts when you get in the house! And on the train ride home, the snow keep accumulating more and more the further west we got. Right now, it's still snowing here. We have at least another inch and a half. This is MARCH 27!!!

It was a lovely day anyway!

Thanks, Ann. That one was my favorite too. I may get an enlargement made of it.

How sweet of you to take your granddaughters to Chicago! I've heard a lot about the American Girls place. I love Chicago...it's one of my favorite cities in the world...but it really can be cold. We had snow here yesterday, too. At least the sun is shining today!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog...you are an encouragement!

What fun!! My daughter had a day at the New York American Girl with my mother-in-law and will remember it forever.

Hi, I came over from Jensters. I just knew when I saw you on the train to Chicago with those girls, you were going to the AG store! FUN!

Oh, I am so jealous! I've always wanted to do this, but my girls were not so into these dolls. They each had one. If I would have had my way, we wouldn't spent millions of dollars on those things! Maybe I'll have a little grandgirl someday!

I meant to say, "I would have spent millions of dollars on those dolls." ugh. sorry for dumbness.

Wonderful! I really want to take Leah someday. My sister in law lives there and we both are waiting for Leah to get a little older to remember her day. Looks like such fun!
