Confession: I've been "lurking". To all my blogger friends...I haven't had computer time at home the last couple of days. When I blog at work (I have a student teacher at the moment and I need to get out of her hair sometimes!), I can't "comment" because of our filter. (But I can blog!! Go figure!) So...I've been lurking. I can read, but can't comment!! Or answer yours. Later this week??? I hope the pace slows a bit.

Ah ... confessions (over coffee) are good for the soul, right? LOL
I'm glad you're able to relax and visit a bit even if you're not able to comment because of the filter. I remember those days of leaving my student teachers 'on their own' to see what it was like. I used to curl up with a good book or catch up on phone calls home, office stuph, etc. but blogging would have been a fun option. Retirement is such a blessing.

Yay you have a student teacher :) I remember when I student taught. We had two 7-week experiences. Mine were in 2nd grade and 4th grade. I loved both age groups but had a miserable time during the 4th grade experience. The classroom teacher hated me. Seriously. There's nothing worse than having a huge personality conflict with your supervising teacher. It was awful.
But, I started with 7 weeks in 2nd grade, and that classroom teacher was absolutely wonderful.
I do the same sometimes, but for different reasons. I like to eat lunch or breakfast while reading blogs and it makes it hard to comment But since I'm going to sit and eat it is a good way to catch up on blog reading.
