I've always wanted an attic that looked like these. That "shabby chic" look of abandoned treasures, tossed about in an artistically casual arrangement. This year when we ascended to the attic to bring down boxes of Christmas decorations, I decided to take pictures. I think it looks more like we descended into somewhere unpleasant, a dungeon perhaps? There are a few treasures, probably, buried amidst the trash. Is this like posting the skeletons in one's closet??? 'Twas but a dream -- that idyllic "Grandma's Attic." Reality is less appealing.

Hi PJ, I am so glad to meet you. Thanks for your visit to my place.I can't image packing so many shoes for a trip...
We used to keep Christmas decorations in the attic , but now store them on shelves built above the garage door.It is easier to reach them on a ladder.
Please come back and visit me again. Baba
Thanks for visiting my blog! I am so excited to see comments and then be linked to others blogs.
Your attic at least has room to walk. Mine is packed with baby/kid stuff. I can't even imagine the day I have to clean it out. I try to pretend it is not there. :)
Aack! the attic IS alive with people. He's peeking around a board!
Linda, you noticed. The teenagers next door were helping me drag down all those boxes! LOL
attics and basements are unheard of in my area of SoCal... I keep telling my husband our garage would be beautiful if we had one or the other. Are you trying to say that's just a dream?
I for one seem to think that the storage room(Attic) has elastic walls. I tell the DH oh, I'm sure there is room for that in the Attic! We unpacked ours 1 year ago...my baby is 30 and we still have the highchair!
