I'm told this is the most dangerous cake in the world!
(click HERE -- or the Flavor Icon -- for more recipes)

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using)
and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1 000 watts. The
cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool
a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). And why
is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time
of the day or night!

A bloggy friend has a slightly different version posted -- complete with photo!!

Wow! This looks fantastic, PJ. I'll have to pass on it myself because of being diabetic, but it sounds delicious...and yes, dangerous! :)

I made this, even posted a photo:

I didn't use a whole egg, just the egg white. The second time I tried it, I was thinking "5 minute..." and set the microwave for that long. Talk about hard and dried out. Definitely only cooks for 3 minutes.

OhMyWord. Now I'm going to have to buy a microwave! So far I've picked up a hand mixer and a toaster oven but nothing else. But microwave is moving to the top of the list :-) 'Cause this sounds perfect for just the hubby and me, super fast, and a great way to get that 'chocolate fix' I need once in a while. Thanks so much!!!

Sounds heavenly! How large a mug do you need?.. the BIG ones, or just a normal size?
It is hard to believe that something this delicious could be ready in such a short time - and with such little mess!
Thanks for sharing - and I love your blot... lots of fun!

Oh my goodness. This is the answer to a chocoholics prayer. I can see other flavoring, lemon, mocha, just a change from chocolate.

Thanks for sharing.
